Text Messages...

I always found text messaging some one so much better and easier. Instead of calling someone up and asking them a question you can simply text them the question and wait for the reply. This helps avoid all the awkward silences and any other conversations the phone call may lead to that you don't have time for or don't want to talk about.

However, there is one bad thing about text messaging which is that you don't hear the person's tone of voice so you might take something they say the wrong way, but this same problem also occurs with instant messaging. Things that people say in a nice way may come off mean in a text. This is why you should not have any serious or important conversations through instant messaging or text messages.

Overall, I definately prefer to text people. Calling someone can get annoying because you run out of things to say and may feel weird just hanging up. Texting gets to the point and that's it. It avoids long conversations and doesn't even take much time.
