Response to Quote by Maya Angelou

"If you don't like something change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude." -Maya Angelou

When Professor Marsh gave us this quote I like it. It basically means that if a person doens't like something they should not just sit there complaining about it. They should actually try and change it. Many people will sit and tlak about many things they don't like or want to change, but never do anything about it. I personally hate that. I feel that if you are not going to do anything to change it you have no right complaining about it.

However, another thing the quote is saying is that in life there are things that you simply can't change for whatever reasons. These things that are unable to be changed you must just accept. Since the things cannot be changed complaining about them is useless. Therefore, you should change your attitude about them. For example, maybe you should try and be more positive and find something good out of the one thing you hate that you can't change.

Basically, if you don't like something complaining will not do you any good. You should try and change it. However, if this is impossible you should try and accept it.
